NASA Initial Type/Identity Decisions

I want to use purely one typeface through the book I'm going to create for Nasa, I've been reading the company visual guidelines on a PDF I got my hand on fro their website and at the minute the guidelines show a use of varying weights of Helvetica Neue, I've experimented with this typeface aswell, and while I think this font is representative of the modern image of Nasa, I want my work to have a much more memorabilia feel of nostalgia, almost a celebratory piece for the anniversary of the first moon landing. I feel like Futura communicates this vintage sci-fi feel much more effectively across a set of different weights, the condensed ones especially look really nice as body copy.
