Revised Spintronics Poster

It's been nagging away for me for a few days that I wansn't happy with this poster so this morning I decided to remake it, I'm so much happier with it now, and I prefer the black to the red aswell. Well worth the time.

Resistance Poster Printed

A2 Gloss, the red has come out almost luminous, really pleased with it.

Spintronics

Finished poster for the Don't Panic and D&AD Brief for a poster on the theme of "resistance". Mine is an info-graphical piece explaining how magnetic resistance (or spintronics) works, its basically about applying an external magnetic field to electrons to rotate them and create a resistance through the current.

Magnetoresistance

Been reading into this subject as a really interesting representation of resistance, The overlapping of electric and magnetic fields is the cause of magnetoresistance and can cause a drop in electronic resistance under a magnetic field, I think.

Magnetic Resistance Version 3

I've got back to purely looking at magnetic resistance and I feel like the direction and focus this work is a lot clearer to see. I've worked some of my shape experiments up into this more complicated layout which I really like, it has quite a regal and majestic form to it. I've alway been playing with adding colour, I definitely feel like a very limited colour palette will work with this but I'm not sure whether to add this colour onto the line work or onto the negative space.

Magnetic Resistance Version 2

I've been trying to maybe work in a dual meaning to my posters, I've been interested in looking at the maths and science of resistance but also looking at making a comparison to political resistance and protest posters. I think that within the area of magnetism there could be something interesting to be said about money and banking and some of the things that aren't right about the monitory system. However, I feel that its a very fine line between losing my message altogether by getting too muddled up.

Magnetic Resistance Version 1

First time I've tried to work one of the shapes into a layout and applied some text and a tiny bit of colour for focus. I think the ideas are there but I think I can use some more intricate shapes to really make the poster beautiful, it looks a bit too simple at the minute.

3D Fields

Just been playing with some shapes and realized you can create some really interesting 3D forms by applying different tonal fills to the different layers of the magnetic field. I don't think its suitable for what I'm developing now but it might be useful for something else.

More Directed Shape Development

I've started to be a bit more scientific about how I'm trying to correctly display the scientific information and I've also started to experiment with adding a very symbolic icon of a horseshoe magnet to make it really clear what I'm talking about.

Magnetic Field Shape Experiments

Playing around with the simple form of two overlapping magnetic fields (making magnetic resistance). It creates some really interesting pattern work that I definitely think I can take into my poster development.

Priceless Type Experiments.

Experimenting with torn/destroyed money to make a poster to give information about the gold standard.

Magnetism

Trying to develop graphics for a poster campaign with the theme of resistance. My aim is to resistance in a protest sense against central banking and federal reserves with the idea of magnetic resistance.
